"Love Stories" Art Show
A few weeks ago my friends, Daniel and Arian Armstrong, and I put on an art show called "Love Stories" at a local coffee shop. It was a great time, and we had a huge turnout (between 150-200 people!). I decided that my main contribution to the show would be "sketches of some of the local people that I love." So...here they are!

Gladstone friends!
My friends over at Gladstone Community and Mariemont Community Church have set out to read the entire Bible out loud in just two weeks! For 6 hours every day, volunteers have been taking turns reading through the Scriptures in 20 minute time slots. It's been pretty awesome! I got to stop by this past weekend, and while I was serenaded with the Psalms, I did a few sketches.

And if you're local and interested in stopping by to hear the Word read out loud, they're going until the 19th! Here's the info: "The Word" Bible Reading!
Cheers!

The Final Frontier.
We have a weekly "themed drawing" group here at work. I missed last week, so I combined the two themes this week. The two themes were: "a spaceman and his weapon" and "an adorable critter being evil."

Where Did the Summer Go?
(Insert obligatory apologies and exclamation concerning not having posted in awhile here)
Now that that's out of the way...
Here are some drawings!

Flying to Sarasota
I've done my fair share of flying over the course of my life, especially over the past couple months. I like to travel, so I tend to do it as often as I can. A few weeks ago I visited Ringling to see a bunch of my friends graduate.
Before that trip, I had never had any problems flying. Show up an hour before the flight, hop on the plane, arrive at my destination. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.
Unfortunately that didn't seem to be the case this time around. Going to Florida, my first flight got delayed. This ended up giving me only a few minutes to get to my next flight. They moved my seat to the very front of the plane, so I could start running as soon as we landed. As we approached the airport, I start psyching myself up to move as quickly as possible. I had been having really bad shin splints lately in both my legs, so I knew I wouldn't be able to run as fast as I usually could.
I started booking it as soon as we hit the gate.
My legs were killing me, but it was worth it. I had a great time, and figured my travels back home would be much less dramatic. However that was not the case...

I barely made it.
